FAQ

What is Bunny? And what’s with the name?

Bunny is a 60-minute strength training class designed to help you build muscle, confidence, and long-term resilience. Classes are capped at six people, so you’ll get highly personalized coaching using bodyweight movements, dumbbells, barbells, and cable machines, without the intimidation of a traditional gym.

Every workout is full-body, but we place a special emphasis on glute strength as the foundation of better movement, injury prevention, and confidence in everyday life. They also put the “buns” in Bunny.

Absolutely. Bunny is a great place to start. Many of our members are brand new to strength training, and our coaches are here to guide you every step of the way.

We teach progressive overload training—gradually increasing weight, reps, or control over time—which is one of the safest and most effective ways to build muscle and feel stronger. In our small, semi-private classes, trainers tailor each workout to your starting point, teach proper form for your body, and help you learn how to use equipment with confidence.

We also place a big emphasis on injury prevention, smart modifications, and creating a gym environment that feels supportive and non-intimidating. If you’re curious, nervous, or totally new, Bunny is built for you.

Absolutely. Bunny is built to meet you where you are and push you forward. Our programming is thoughtfully designed by experienced coaches to offer a smarter, more intentional approach to training that supports women’s health, performance, and physique goals.

With progressive programming, high-quality equipment, and small class sizes, you’ll be coached to lift heavier, move better, and train with purpose. Pair that with great music, good energy, and a supportive community, and you’ll leave each session feeling challenged, accomplished, and excited to come back.

Yes, but maybe in a way you don’t expect. One of the biggest myths in fitness is that you can’t get a cardiovascular workout from strength training. At Bunny, while we’re not running on treadmills, our programming is designed to elevate your heart rate through smart, continuous strength work.

By using compound movements, thoughtful pacing, and shorter rest periods, many members find their heart rate stays elevated throughout class, improving cardiovascular fitness alongside strength. We also offer High Output Protocol (HOP) classes for those looking for a more conditioning-forward option.

In short: you’ll leave sweaty, breathing hard, and stronger, without traditional “cardio” machines.

Not at the moment. While it’s something we may explore in the future, we currently don’t offer open gym because coached training and intentional programming are core to the Bunny experience.

Our small, semi-private classes are designed to take the guesswork out of training — you show up, follow a thoughtfully planned workout, and receive hands-on coaching every step of the way. That structure is what allows our members to train safely, progress consistently, and get the most out of their time in the studio.

In many cases, yes. A lot of our members come in with existing injuries or movement limitations, and our coaches are trained to modify workouts to keep you moving safely and confidently.

Unless a medical professional has told you not to exercise, we encourage you to come in, let your trainer know what’s going on with your body, and we’ll adjust the workout to meet your needs while still delivering a meaningful training effect. If at any point a coach feels that semi-private training isn’t the right fit for where you’re at, they’ll have a private, honest conversation with you and help guide next steps.

Our priority is always your safety, long-term progress, and feeling supported in your training.

It depends on your goals, schedule, and training history, but consistency is what matters most. From a science standpoint, many doctors and exercise physiologists recommend up to three resistance training sessions per week for women to support muscle mass, bone density, metabolic health, and long-term function.

That said, meaningful progress can absolutely happen at one or two sessions per week, especially if you’re new to strength training or balancing a busy schedule. Our coaches can help you find the right rhythm for your body and your life, and adjust as your goals evolve. The most effective plan is the one you can stick to consistently.

Results look different for everyone, but with consistent training, many members begin to notice changes within the first few weeks. Beyond aesthetic shifts, we place just as much value on how you feel. Members often report improvements in posture, daily energy, joint comfort (including less low-back or knee pain), and overall confidence in their bodies.

Over time, consistent strength training can also support bone density, metabolic health, and feeling more stable and grounded—whether that’s in everyday life or during specific life stages like fertility or postpartum journeys.

The cost per session changes based on the session type, frequency, and your type of membership. Reach out to learn more and figure out the best fit for you!

Classes are held indoors, and we recommend wearing a flat sneaker that lets you feel the ground under your feet, which is ideal for lifting safely and with control. Our training is generally low- to medium-impact, with options to modify movements as needed, so comfortable athletic wear is perfect.

Please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated (we have refill stations), and a towel if you tend to sweat — while the workouts are lower impact, they’re still challenging. Most importantly, come ready to move, lift, and work at your own pace.
